Partnerships
As part of our 10-year Vision, Covenant, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, will capitalize on its unique position by establishing 100 new types of church relationships. Each of these relationships may look different than our existing in-person campuses but will maintain hallmarks of Covenant Church: faithfulness to scriptural authority, focus on spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, and commitment to excellent, life-giving worship! Below are our first two partners as we trust the Lord to fulfill His plan.

Christ Hope Church
Several churches in the North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church voted but did not receive the 2/3s necessary to disaffiliate. As a result, new congregations began to emerge, including one here in Greenville. A group from Jarvis Memorial launched Christ Hope Church on November 13, 2022, in Building B of our Winterville campus. They also set up offices in House 1.
Since their launch in 2022, the Lord has brought more people to their church, and we couldn’t be more thrilled by what He’s doing in their church family. This was our first opportunity to move forward with our 10-Year Strategic Plan to help 100 congregations. We are so thankful for how God is blessing us mutually in this partnership!

Keener Methodist Church
In December of 2023, during a season without a pastor, Keener Methodist Church unanimously voted to be a part of our ministry through the Global Methodist Church. We started streaming our services directly to Keener’s congregation in January of 2023.
This small town is around 100 miles from our main campus in Winterville and has a population of less than 1,000 people. Our team has enjoyed getting to know the wonderful people of Keener Methodist Church and considers it a privilege to come alongside them as they share the gospel with their community.

Sims Methodist Church
In the summer of 2025, Sims Methodist Church found themselves without pastoral support and asked us about a partnership. Sims is a small town in western Wilson County, but the church there has had a long history of faithful and effective ministry in their community. We started streaming our services directly to Sims’ congregation in August of 2025.
If you visit Sims (the town) and are looking for Sims Methodist Church, it is one block off Main Street. We are excited about this partnership because the congregation in Sims is warm and poised for growth. There are several hundred new homes in subdivisions (that used to be tobacco fields) within a mile of the church.

Williston Methodist Church
Williston Methodist Church was also served by Pastor Bob and this congregation in the Williston Community found themselves in need of pastoral support when Bob retired. We began streaming our messages to them in October of 2025.
Williston Methodist Church is a lovely church with a beautiful sanctuary and rich history. Covenant is pleased to serve as a partner congregation with the fine folks in Williston. A look at their Facebook page will tell you that there is a lot going on at this little white church. And at the top of the page is the hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness. We are indeed kindred spirits!

Pinetops Methodist Church
Pinetops Methodist Church voted to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church in late 2022. They also decided not to affiliate with a new denomination but remain independent. They secured the services of a part-time pastor the next year and were doing well. When their pastor needed to move for a career change, they were left without many options for pastoral support.
They became our partner in October of 2025 and we now stream our messages to Edgecombe County each Sunday. The Pinetops sanctuary is a beautiful place to worship and there are lots of wonderful people in this congregation. What an honor to participate with this church as partners in the gospel!

Stacy Methodist Church
Stacy Methodist Church is just off US 70 east of East Carteret High School in Carteret County. During the period of disaffiliation, like many Methodist churches, Stacy had a pastor who led them through the process. Pastor Bob, a retired pastor from Morehead City, provided preaching and pastoral care on a part time basis for about five years. When Pastor Bob decided to retire for a second time, they found themselves in a need of a partner.
We started to stream our messages to Stacy in October 2025. This lovely chapel by the sea draws people from the Stacy community and as far off as Atlantic. We are honored to a part of the long history of Methodism down east with these brothers and sisters from Stacy.
